Systems and Change Navigation Coaching
Much of the work we as coaches do is to help create mental environments in which individuals can thrive and excel. The same can be applied to teams and organisations. Systems coaching considers the larger system in which we all operate. It an approach to coaching which has been defined as, “coaching the individual client or team with the system in mind—exploring the part in the whole, and the whole in the part—so as to unlock the potential and performance of both”. Systemic coaching helps encourage individuals and teams to gain a wider perspective and consider the ecosystem they’re embedded within and the connections between the parts of the system and how this inter-connectedness can be garnered to enhance individual, team and ultimately organisational performance. People by nature are uncomfortable with change because change is disruptive. For the majority, fear and uncertainty drives the aversion to change. But what if change can be viewed as a positive disruption, viewed in light of opportunities for growth and innovation. Change navigation provides the tools and techniques for embracing change and reframing the future, enabling individuals and teams alike to build resilience and craft environments in which we can more than just survive- we can thrive.
