Mentoring for Leaders is a professional mentor development programme designed to equip leaders and aspiring mentors to mentor ethically, reflectively and effectively in workplace contexts. The programme develops mentoring capability across five areas: mentoring mindset and paradigms, adult learning and intervention choice, self-awareness and ethics, professional mentoring practice, and organisational mentoring systems. Participants learn to distinguish mentoring from coaching, managing and counselling; apply empathic listening; manage boundaries and confidentiality; use the GROW framework; and design mentoring processes that support leadership, talent and development goals. The programme combines face-to-face learning, reflective exercises, simulations, knowledge assessment and post-programme mentoring practice to support both professional competence and applied capability. Participants who complete all programme requirements may become eligible for COMENSA Level 1 Mentor credentialling, while those who complete only the contact sessions receive a Certificate of Attendance.
